You Don't Have to Dance to Reach Your Audience

Do you feel the pressure daily to post, re-post, record, take a picture, make a video, dance? It can feel overwhelming, especially when all you want to do is teach and share yoga.

I know...BORING, right?? But hear me out.

In 2019, you were doing everything you could to grow your business and enjoy a sustainable profit. Then COVID hit in 2020 and the wheels fell off the bus, and darn it if 2021 didn't get even harder. And social media became loud, and busy and crowded. How on earth can you get your message out to those who need to hear it?

And do you remember that fateful day, in October of 2021, when Facebook went DOWN for close to 7 hours? Was your business completely disrupted with no ability to quickly reach your customers? Don't set yourself up for a repeat of that.

Did you know, that over 90% of people in the U.S. have and use an email address? That's like, everyone. It certainly is most of your clients and potential clients.

I am not about to tell you to ditch social media marketing. NO WAY! But I will remind you that your don't own your Facebook fans and Instagram followers, Mark Zuckerberg does.

As we get started on 2022, and hopefully, finally, the beginning of the end of our lives being dictated by the pandemic, it is time to regroup, rebuild, and re-engage with lost clients. Going full-steam ahead to generate new clients into your business is a great idea now, too.

As entrepreneurs, we often get distracted by the shiny new thing to work on, or we get tangled up in designing the perfect graphic or figuring out how to retarget our Facebook ads to reach our audience. (Have you figured out IG Reels, yet? Oh, my.)

Seriously, block out time each week for creating and sending email, and both your sales and your retention will increase.

More good news, gone are the days of fancy newsletters with a blog, a client spotlight, upcoming events, and specials, all crammed into the same email that your client has to get a snack to sit down to read. Today, emails can (and should!) be short and sweet. Pick one thing to share....tell a story, promote an event, or announce a call to action.

Simple.

Connect with your audience regularly via email, and you don't need to worry about losing touch with your audience next time there is a Facebook blackout.
