Is this Cheating?

Do you know what may feel like cheating at making a living?

Owning a yoga studio where you can practice as often as you want, with your favorite teachers. Building a teaching schedule that lets you teach only the classes that you want to teach, on the schedule that suits your lifestyle. Or heck, not teaching at all! The true cheat is running the business from the comfort of your home, having complete control over your life and schedule, traveling any time you want, making it to all of the swim meets and band concerts, and getting paid a comfortable salary.

All without having to work nights and weekends..or having a boss...or having to follow policies that come with being a part of someone else’s team.

Now, is that “cheating” at making a living, or is it just working smarter, not harder, by making better investments with your time and money?

I have been there, and I know what I am talking about. I had a day job for years where I worked like a madwoman and was thankful for a free weekend. I was paid well, and the benefits were great, but I was tired. And then I bought a yoga studio and was certain I had hit the time and money lottery. Ha ha. Yeah, I can hear you laughing, too.

I had it backwards. I bought a business that I thought would support me, but instead, I ended up with a business that needed my support, 24/7.

So now my hours and stress were the same or more as when I had a J.O.B., and my money and benefits were less. Not what I had in mind when embarking on the entrepreneurial journey. I'd bet it is not what you planned for, either.

 Then I did three things:

1. I hired a coach.

2. I outsourced anything that was repeatable and could be done by someone else.

3. I built systems in my business that I could do, document, teach and release.

If you know me at all, you know I don't live a flashy lifestyle, and I don't brag about my studio profits. And my studio was pummelled during COVID just like yours. But I KNOW that it will be at least as profitable as before or more, because I built systems and use proven strategies to grow our memberships and community back to pre-COVID levels.

Nothing I did is hard, and I want to share with studio owners what I know, and what I know that WORKS.

I know that right now the BEST way for you to grow your studio profits and your personal free time is to create systems and strategies that support that growth. I also know that you can't do all of it yourself.

I want to show you how your studio can support you, not the other way around.

When you know you are ready to have your studio support you, I am ready to support you, too!
